A
Vegetable Weevil

The Vegetable Weevil is a type of insect that feeds on leaves and roots. The victims tend to be the turnip, cabbage, and even some kinds of weeds. Their life cycle seems to last about 1-4 months, in which they hatch from eggs in the soil or leaves, eat as larvae for about 20-40 days, pupate, and become adults. They tend to feed on roots just below the soil, so the plant is damaged by lack of nutrients from the ground.

The best way to get rid of vegetable weevils is to use an insecticide that is safe for the plants that they have infested. If you pick up a Vegetable Weevil, it will probably play dead until you leave it alone.
