The idea of eating any form of insect is nauseating to most Americans. However, all around the world, insects are considered to be a large part of day-to-day diet. In fact, often times these delicious arthropods are eaten while still alive. Countries such as Thailand, Laos, and Mexico are all places where you may find raw grubs, and smaller insects being eaten as if they were candy. While eating raw insects
is not America's favorite food, there are those who are brave enough to
try it. Honeybee larvae are said to have a sweet nutty taste when eaten
raw. Maybe they'll replace popcorn as the next theater snack? |
