Q is for... Quaking Behavior

quaking behavior
This applies to the array of defense mechanisms commonly used by walking sticks. It first begins by rocking side-to-side in a peculiar swaying motion by flexing it's legs. This behavior is specifically known as quaking, which can go on for an half hour or longer. It this technique fails, some species will fall to the ground and play dead.
