P is for... Praying Mantis

Praying mantids belong to the Neuroptera order. Mantids can be up to 25cm in length. Mantids do have wings but tend not to fly often nor migrate. Females esp. do not fly after mating. Mantids tend to fly more at night than the day to avoid predation. However, bats do eat mantids.
