Scarab beetle
The scarab beetle is well known for its nutritious meal of animal dung. The scarab beetle will lay eggs in a rolled ball of feces so that when the young scarab beetle insects hatch they will have something to feast on. The scarab beetle has a peculiar habit of pushing the rolled ball of dung with its hind legs while standing and pushing off the ground with its front pair of legs.
