M is for... Monarch Butterfly

monarch butterfly
Monarch butterflies are among the most popular insects in the order Lepidoptera. Perhaps the biggest reason these insects are so popular is because of their wings with their bright color and intricate design. Monarch butterflies are unique in that they travel up to three thousand miles. They are the only species of butterfly that make such a long, two way migration every year.
