The are many other disease that are worth mentioning. Filariasis for example is found in Central and South America, Africa, India and Asia. An endoparasitic worm is transferred from a mosquito to its host when bitten. The worm moves to the lymph vessels and tissues and begins to feed. Since it is in the vessels it acts as a blockage which may cause swelling of the extremities. There is no cure. |
