Aedes aegypti is the mosquito responsible for the spread of Yellow Fever and Dengue. Due to eradication efforts in the early to mid-part of this century, Aedes aegypti was almost eliminated. However, since the end of the control efforts in 1971 the mosquito has been making a comeback. This has led to increasing reports of Yellow Fever and Dengue. |
