Robber Flies are very fast fliers and have excellent vision. They are known for catching their prey in midair. They have long spiny legs which are used to grasp their prey. Having piercing mouth parts allows them to use their short proboscis to suck out the fluids from their prey. The larvae live on soil, fallen leaves and decaying wood where they feed on other insects. | |
