Candace McKeever

On April 27, 2009, Professor Santhi Hejeebu's ECB:354 Managerial Economics course welcomed distinguished visitor Candace McKeever.  McKeever is the Logistics Manager at the General Mills Corporation manufacturing facility in Cedar Rapids. She has a degree in industrial engineering from Northwestern University.

Her topic was “Capacity Planning at General Mill.” Her presentation explained how General Mills plans production across multiple facilities based on a total demand forecast, differences in production cost at each plant, differences in storage cost, transshipment costs, etc.  She explained how this giant corporation ensures that supply meets demand.
