1. What is the Purple Pass?
The Purple Pass allows residents of Mount Vernon and Lisbon, and families with children enrolled in the Mount Vernon and Lisbon school districts, to attend Cornell Athletic events, Music Monday concerts, and lectures free of charge. One pass serves all household family members during the entire 09-10 academic year.
2. What events will the Purple Pass allow me to attend for free? Are plays included?
All regular season home athletic events, Music Monday concerts, and lectures open to the public will be free to Purple Pass holders. Plays have assigned seating and require an admission fee.
3. Where can I get a schedule of these events?
The Cornell College website has a master calendar.
4. Who can use the Purple Pass?
All Mount Vernon and Lisbon residents and families who have students in the Mount Vernon and Lisbon School Districts – who register for the pass. All household family members may attend events with pass holders, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
5. Can I get a Purple Pass for family members/friends from out of town?
Sorry, the passes are only for those who live or go to school in Mt. Vernon and Lisbon.
6. Do I need / Can I have more than one Purple Pass?
You only need / we can only distribute one pass per household.
7. Will I need the Purple Pass with me to get in? Would I need other identification?
You will need the Purple Pass to get in, but no other identification will be necessary.
8. How often can I use the pass?
Each pass is good for the 2009-2010 academic year, and may be used as often as desired.
9. How many people can enter on the pass?
It is good for all members of your household.
10. Where can someone obtain a Purple Pass?
Passes may be obtained at The Commons Information Desk (895-4334) or the Athletic Office (895-4337) during business hours.
11. What if I lose my Purple Pass?
Replacement passes may be obtained free of charge at The Commons Information Desk or the Athletic Office during business hours.
12. Are their any strings attached to participating in the program?
No strings attached, you’ll only need to fill out a brief registration form to obtain your pass.
13. I am a faculty member or staff member. Do I need one of these?
No. You and your family members already get in free.
15. Where should I park during these events?
The easiest thing to do is walk if it is convenient. If you do drive, just park in a designated space (ie not a fire zone). During special events, it is unlikely that guests would get parking tickets. If so, just contact Campus Safety.
