Early Decision 1 (ED 1) – November 1 If Cornell is your first choice we encourage you to apply through our binding Early Decision (ED 1) plan. By
applying ED 1 by November 1, you will receive a waiver of your $30 application fee, immediate scholarship consideration, and preliminary financial
aid estimates. Review of completed ED 1 applications begins October 1. Applicants admitted to the College who wish to enroll must submit a $300
non-refundable enrollment deposit, postmarked by January 15. Upon submission of the deposit to Cornell, students must withdraw applications to all
other schools.
Early Decision 2 (ED 2) – January 15 Review of completed ED 2 applications begins January 1 and will continue through March 1. This ED 2 option
enables students to submit a seventh-semester transcript or a later SAT/ACT score with their application materials. Applicants admitted to the
College who wish to enroll must submit a $300 non-refundable enrollment deposit, postmarked by April 1. Upon submission of the deposit to
Cornell, students must withdraw applications to all other schools.
Early Action/Regular Decision (EA/RD 1) – December 1 If you would like to learn of your admission status early you must postmark your application
by December 1 for our non-binding Early Action (EA) plan. Review of completed EA applications begins November 1 and will continue through
February 1. By applying EA, you are eligible to receive a waiver of the $30 application fee, immediate scholarship consideration, and preliminary
financial aid estimates. Applicants admitted through this non-binding plan who wish to enroll must submit a $300 deposit, postmarked by May 1.
Regular Decision 2 (RD 2) – February 1 Review of completed RD 2 applications begins January 1 and will continue through April 1. Applicants
admitted through this non-binding plan must submit a $300 deposit by May 1.
Transfer Admission – March 1 (Fall); November 1 (Spring) Students applying as transfers who submit all required application materials postmarked
by March 1 are given priority consideration for admission and scholarships. Applicants admitted as transfers who wish to enroll must submit a $300
deposit postmarked by May 1. Applications arriving after May 1 are considered on a space-available basis. Transfer students interested in enrolling
for the spring semester are encouraged to apply by November 1.
