                          Using SCRIBA
Getting Started
   -type calis at the a:\SCRIBA> prompt.  Press [Enter].
   -when asked for name, type your first name.  Press [Enter].
   -to select a chapter, use the arrow keys to move the cursor
   until the chapter is highlighted.  Then press [Enter].
   -to select an exercise, use the arrow keys to move the cursor
   until the chapter is highlighted.  Then press [Enter].
   -to quit at any time, press the escape key [Esc].
Helpful Function Keys
   Key                          Action
   [Enter] (or [Return])        select
   [Esc]                        exit current level
   arrow keys                   move cursor one character at a time
   [Ctrl] plus left or right    move the cursor one word at a 
   arrow keys                   time
   up arrow                     bring back the last answer
   down arrow key               erase entire answer
   grey [+] or [-] (on extreme  pass forwards or backwards
           right of keyboard)   through the questions
   [F6]                         "give up" - give up on this
                                question and will show the answer. 
                                You must attempt to answer at
                                least once.
   [F9]                         replay the directions on screen.

Tutorial Windows
   Tutorial windows can be accessed by pressing [Alt] at the same
   time as the following function keys.  At present, all tutorial
   windows are not available in every exercise:
